Volunteering at Clanrye

Volunteers are required to assist Clanrye Group with the delivery of employability and personal development activities for people aged 16-65, many of whom have physical and / or learning disabilities / difficulties and come from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Opportunities exist across all Clanrye Group sites - Slieve Gullion Courtyard, Newry, Portadown, Armagh and Downpatrick.


Volunteering Opportunities

We have a range of opportunities for volunteers to get involved in throughout the organisation working with people of different ages, backgrounds and abilities. If you would like to work with a particular group of people please specify on your application form.

Family Foundations - individuals aged 16-65

Regener8 - young people aged 16-25

Positive Directions - individuals aged 16-65 with a disability

Training for Success - young people aged 16-24 with a learning difficulty / disability 

Be Active - supporting physical activity sessions across Newry, Mourne and Down District Area to key underrepresented groups

Once we receive a copy of your completed registration form, a member of our team will get in touch with more information on specific opportunities and we can decide together which option best matches your interests and time availability and also our needs. Your help will be greatly appreciated and really will make a difference.


All our volunteers are given the opportunity to undertake training in areas such as Driver Theory Training, Safeguarding Training, Stress Buster Training, Computer Training plus more.  Volunteers also have the opportunity to avail of Physical Activity Sessions and Social Events.
